Highlights From Graduation 2015 Featuring Beauticate Founder Sigourney Cantello

‘Work hard doing what you love’, words of wisdom from our guest speaker Sigourney Cantelo, founder of go-to beauty resource Beauticate. Last week we celebrated with the graduates of 2015, who are doing just that in their new careers.

With a picturesque back drop of Sydney Harbor Bridge, Ella Baché College graduates of 2015 gathered to Luna Park with family, friends and Ella Bache HQ to celebrate. With the canapés flowing and the energy buzzing with excitement, everyone headed to the crystal ball room where the ceremony was to take place.

The team at Ella Baché College kicked off the night with messages of congratulations followed by a passionate and heart felt send-off from student representative Michelle Lamborne:

“Tonight marks the end of our college experience, we have all gained so much more than our diploma from this year whether it be, true friendships, better understanding of what you want to do next, a passion for the beauty industry or even just a bit more self-confidence.”

Special guest speaker Sigourney Cantelo then took to the stage, reminding the new beauty therapists that there’s more to the industry than fluff:

“While many people think of beauty as fluffy at times, you and I both know there is so much more to it than that. When used correctly, beauty products give us confidence.

Your job – like mine - is to guide and educate women in how to use them, and to inspire them to try something different with their routine. Giving them these tools will ultimately empower them, and isn’t that what it’s all about?

Having the ability to change someone’s skin can change their life. And having the power of touch, the sensitivity and the compassion to relax and indulge someone is truly a gift. Use your gifts wisely and you will have the most satisfying and wonderful career. “

Every year, we have a special group of students who are recognized for their outstanding achievements. A notable mention must be made to Michelle Lamborne who took home the Edith Hallas award, presented by Ella Baché Pippa Hallas. The Edith Hallas Award is the most coveted award within the college and within the whole Ella Baché network. This award is given to the student who displays a real passion for skin care, is a demonstrated team player, puts others before self, is a self starter/motivator and is well groomed and courteous at all times. The Edith Hallas Award commends the student who adds value to Ella Baché network and for their potential to be an outstanding therapist. We look forward to hearing about Michelle’s bright career prospects.

Graduation marks the start to an exciting career for our graduates and whilst we bid farewell to the graduates of 2015, we look forward to welcoming a new group of students in February 2016. If you are interested in a career in beauty therapy, request more info or enroll now.
