No Beauty School Dropouts As Ella Baché College Nurtures Careers And Business

3,800 new jobs to be created in Australia by 2018

The beauty industry is expected to grow, with 3,800 beauty therapy jobs to be created in Australia by 2018 (28,500 jobs in November 2013).  So if you have a passion for skin and beauty therapy, don't put off your dreams and start a vibrant career in beauty by studying a Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

Beauty therapy is more than just pampering

According to Jennifer Hayes, Head of Education at Ella Baché College, there is fierce competition for beauty therapist roles and candidates with the best training and most advanced skill-set in beauty therapy are most likely to fill these positions.

At Ella Baché College, we are committed to producing highly qualified beauty therapists. Our ethos is to focus on the individual’s learning experience and we ensure that all students have a solid understanding of the theory and practice behind skin diagnostics and treatment.

We want to set them up with the skills, experience and qualifications they need for a successful career in the beauty industry.

As treatments are becoming more specialised, beauty therapy is more than just pampering. A beautician is trained to do manicures and hair removal, where a trained beauty therapist will possess more technical knowledge about skin science, skin biology, anatomy and physiology, nutrition and cosmetic chemistry.

Australia’s premier salon network

“Practical experience is an important part of the training and all of our students are required to complete 150 hours of external work experience in a commercial salon before they can be awarded their qualification. With access to a network of more than 150 Ella Baché Salons and distributors and 36 David Jones stores nationally, students can gain work experience in a highly professional environment,” says Hayes.

Ella Baché is renowned across the country for its fabulous skincare range and Ella Baché College is the only beauty college which is integrated with a skincare range. With 50 years’ experience in skincare diagnostics, students are learning from the best and are well placed to join the workforce upon graduation.

$10,000 Small Business Grant

“We want to help our students carve out a career, not just secure a job when they graduate. Students can apply for a grant to open their own salon by presenting a working business plan for an operating commercial beauty salon. The most innovative, creative and intelligent entry each year is awarded a $10,000 grant towards opening an Ella Baché franchise salon. We also continue to nurture their careers through professional development after they leave the college,” Hayes adds.
