Life After Graduation

A year at the College studying the Diploma of Beauty Therapy can pass by in what feels like a blink of an eye. We caught up with Ella Baché alumni Michaela Buswell who shared her favourite moments at the college, how her studies have changed her life and career plus what she’s doing in the business of beauty now that she has graduated.

1.       Why did you choose to study at Ella Baché College?

The very first skincare product I used was Ella Baché, I remember my mum bought me a cleanser and moisturiser- the way it left my skin feeling was amazing. With an interest in beauty, I did my research and discovered they had a College so I grabbed at the opportunity and was enrolled for next intake!

2.       What was the highlight during your time at the Ella Baché College?

Without a doubt it would be the beautiful friends I made and the strong network of supportive trainers around me, I know it sounds cliché but the trainers taught me so much and gave me a great insight on the industry, I received nothing but help and guidance as well as many laughs throughout!

3.       What were the three things you enjoyed learning most at the College?

The subjects I enjoyed most were skin biology, body structures and aromatherapy - all subjects were interesting and had great hands on experience.

4.       What are you doing now that you have graduated?

Now that I have graduated I am currently working at a day spa in a resort on the Central Coast, I am constantly growing my knowledge and have goals set for the future.

5.       How has the College changed your career?

The College taught me about discipline and a strong work ethic, to always ensure client care was my first priority, ensuring treatments were done perfectly without hassle or mistakes, it changed my career in a way that I now love to go to work, I always look forward to working with my team and am excited to learn new techniques to further my skills, it has changed both my career and life for the better.

6.       What was your favorite part of the day at college and why?

There wasn’t a favorite part of the day as such more favorite moments, times when you’re in class with your teachers and everyone is enjoying what they’re doing, you’re happy, focused, learning and joking around with each at all at once. I love those moments, everybody is happy and relaxed… We all turned into one big family!
